KBC OB van equipped with LaOn LT750 wireless intercom system.
CJ Olive Networks has installed a LaON LT750 Expert wireless intercom system into one of Kwangju Broadcasting Company’s (KBC) OB vans. The vehicle’s old wireless communications system was limited in terms of channel count and suffered from frequent issues. Therefore, KBC sought a solution that with more than two grouping options for full-duplex communication channels.
‘LaON supported CJ Olive Networks to implement a proof of concept so that the client could understand how the system works by actually routing the group channels themselves and communicating with all the beltpacks needed,’ said Miyoun Park, sales and marketing manager at LaON. ‘The client was satisfied and chose to install the LT750 Expert system.’
KBC uses the LT750 Expert system for both one-way IFB communication and two-way wireless communications. The system was delivered with various headsets; the on-screen reporter will wear a discrete ear-piece in listen mode, so as to receive communications from production staff while on the air.
