ADAM Audio introduced its flagship S Series monitors at the 2017 NAMM Show. Returning to Anaheim a year later, the German manufacturer once again launched a new range – this time at the opposite end of the price point spectrum with the entry-level T Series nearfield studio monitors for audio recording and production.

‘The engineering team at ADAM Audio was a given a challenge,’ explained the manufacturer’s CEO, Christian Hellinger. ‘We asked them for a range of nearfield monitors that will fit into tighter budgets without compromising the design standards that made ADAM a fixture in studios around the world. The T Series delivers, with wide frequency response, low distortion and precise dispersion control in a value-conscious solution.’

The series comprises a pair of two-way models: the T5V and T7V, which feature 5-inch and 7-inch woofers, respectively. They have been designed to offer several features of the flagship S Series, as well as the AX Series. These include ADAM’s High Frequency Propagation System (HPSTM) for yielding consistent horizontal and vertical dispersion across frequencies, DSP technology for the crossover system and Class-D amplifiers. The T5V and T7V also possess the manufacturer’s U-ART Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter, as well as a newly designed polypropylene symmetrical-excursion woofer that reportedly extends bass to lower frequencies with less distortion than ADAM Audio states was ‘historically possible in this price category’.
