V-Series covers the Rainforest World

The two main stages at last year’s Rainforest World Music Festival in Kuching were reinforced by almost identical d&b audiotechnik V-Series rigs, it has been revealed. The sound setup, as well as the Jungle and Tree stages themselves, were deployed by Projection House.

‘Let’s say one band is performing on the Jungle Stage,’ explained Projection House’s Kevin Phua. ‘This is when we’ll get everything ready for the next band on the Tree Stage before the turnaround. Each band performance is estimated at 45 minutes, so that’s the time we have to line things up and keep the music flowing.’

Both stages employed 12 V8 loudspeakers and four V12s. The one difference came in the use of subwoofers, as one stage had 12 V-Subs while the other used eight flyable cardioid J-Subs from d&b’s J-Series.
