CEDAR Audio has made improvements to its SE 1 Speech Enhancer

CEDAR Audio has completed its first major upgrade to the SE 1 Speech Enhancer since its launch in 2017. With improvements to both the noise reduction and speech enhancement aspects of its algorithm, version 2 allows the unit to reveal more speech with lower residual noise than previously. Existing units can be connected via USB to a computer holding the updated firmware.

In other news, Trinity Enhance is an advanced filtering developed for the manufacturer’s Trinity surveillance system and is available as an AAX, AU, VST2 and VST3 plug-in that is compatible with all common audio and video playback and editing platforms. The audio forensic toolkit comprises four related processes that suppress background and broadband noise and enhance speech to increase listenability and intelligibility. Designed primarily for speech enhancement in forensic laboratories, Trinity Enhance can also be used to clean interviews and reports intended for broadcast that were recorded in particularly noisy environments.
