Tasker cables follow the latest SMPTE standards

As the video transmission market evolves, Tasker has announced that its stalwart SDI coaxial cable, the T42, which is manufactured with a polyurethane sheath under a second PUR sheath or an external soft PVC sheath, is now capable of working at the frequency and transmission speeds imposed by the latest SMPTE standards, such as 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI, up to distances of 70m.

The company’s flagship product, the TSK1078, meets the 3G-SDI standard at distances up to 120m. It is a double-shielded coaxial cable with a PUR or LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath and is resistant to flames, UV rays, oil, water, and chemical and atmospheric agents. It can be immersed in water up to 50m deep and is suitable for both hot and cold applications thanks to its temperature range of –40°C to +80°C. An external metal armour braid can be added to reinforce the cable in underground installations.

Developed to give users various options in a single cable, the TSK1091 provides six different combinations of 3G-SDI coaxial cables and DMX audio, with between one and four conductors. It is a pure OFC copper Komby cable suitable for HD BNC 3GHz and allows users to broadcast audio and power lines with a single cable. The TSK1070 LSZH, meanwhile, is a hybrid cable that comprises three 2.5mm2 power, a Cat-7 S/FTP and a 75Ω HDTV cable and is suitable for broadcast, DMX and LAN installations.
