R&S replaces EVP of broadcast and media

Rohde & Schwarz has announced that Jürgen Nies is retiring from his role as executive vice president of broadcast and media. Taking over the position is Cornelius Heinemann, who was previously responsible for the transmitter and amplifier systems and file-based media solutions business units within the company’s broadcast and media division.

Heinemann has been with R&S since 1991. He started leading the transmitter and amplifier systems business unit in 2007, adding file-based media solutions to his remit in 2016.

The outgoing Nies played a key role in the company’s transition to digital products and expanded its media product portfolio. He spent more than 30 years with R&S in total, including the last 12 years as EVP of broadcast and media.
