As the 2019 InfoComm show begins, Biamp has introduced its TesiraConnect room expander, a five-port AVB connection box designed to simplify Biamp conference room setups by providing power and media over a single cable between Biamp AVB DSPs, USB extenders, PoE+ amplifiers and microphones.

‘Simply plug up to five AVB devices into the expander and they’re connected and ready to work,’ said Biamp’s Joe Andrulis. ‘If you need more than five connections, multiple expanders can be daisy-chained. TesiraConnect is the ideal appliance for the conference room to connect Parlé microphones, PoE+ amplifiers, desono loudspeakers, EX-UBT USB extenders and TesiraForté conferencing systems.’

Acting as a central connection point for all Biamp devices in a conference room, TesiraConnect measures 14.7cm x 14.7cm x 2.8cm and weighs 800g. It can be mounted beneath a table, in a cabinet or behind a monitor. It is fully compatible with Biamp’s SageVue management and monitoring system and all of its ports are located on the back, keeping the front free for status indicator lights.

In other news, Biamp has extended the availability of its Parlé beam-tracking microphones with support for Devio, added the IC6 medium-format, in-ceiling loudspeaker to its desono speaker family and added Cambridge Sound Masking support to SageVue.
