Audiocenter provides the Bestt Sound System solution

Bestt Sound System has provided sound reinforcement for some of India’s most renowned artists, including the late Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh and composer duo Kalyanji-Anandji. The rental company recently added to its inventory with the purchase of Meyer Sound’s Leo, Lyon and LFC systems, along with K-LA212-DSP active DSP-controlled line array speakers from Audiocenter.

Shalosh Best of Bestt Sound System was given a demonstration of the Audiocenter K-LA212-DSP by Troy Furtado and Jahan Motwani from Narain Audio & Lighting LLP, Audiocenter’s distributor in India. Impressed with the sound quality, Bestt Sound System purchased 24 units to complement the Meyer Sound rig on gigs.

‘The Audiocenter K-LA212-DSP is a very clean, all-round line array system,’ commented Bestt Sound System engineers Vaibhav Rumde and Amit Kawle. ‘The SPL on these speakers is amazing and the Braincore technology added to the system works wonders.’

The Audiocenter K-LA212-DSP is an active DSP-controlled line array speaker incorporating a novel phase corrector, which shifts the center of the speakers closer to the center of the box. The same corrector optimises the working frequency of the speaker and the waveguides of the horn, producing a sum of +6dB on top of the entire response band of the speaker. This creates a two-way coaxial system capable of achieving a consistent response across the horizontal plane, ensuring even coverage.

Amiel Best of Bestt Sound System also commented, adding that he appreciates the open architecture of the K-LA212-DSP. This open architecture allows the ‘Bestt Sound System’ team to choose between the manufacturer DSP preset or to customise its own. A range of filter types are offered, including parametric equalisers.
