ADJ Group hires trade show manager
There will be a new face at trade shows around the world, as ADJ Group has hired Charlotte Wester as its trade show manager. Based at the manufacturer’s Los Angeles headquarters, Wester will be responsible for organisation of the group’s booths at shows, representing its brands such as Elation Professional, ADJ Lighting, Acclaim Lighting, Global Truss America and Avante Audio.
‘Trade shows are very important, not only for staying in touch with our existing customer base and showcasing our new products, but also for introducing our brands to new markets,’ said Toby Velazquez, president of ADJ Group. ‘The role of trade show manager is therefore vital for ensuring our continued growth and success, which is why I am very pleased that we have been able to find the ideal candidate for the job. With a strong background in the lighting industry as well as practical project management experience, I am confident that Charlotte will soon become an integral member of our close-knit, professional and passionate staff.’
Wester worked in the lighting department of the Repertory Theatre in St Louis while studying at the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. She graduated with a BFA in lighting design and a BA in French, before moving to California to work for Stage-Tech as a project manager, draftsman and account manager, where she worked on productions with the likes of Live Nation, Trevanna Entertainment and Michael Levitt Productions.
‘This is a great group of companies and I am very excited to be a part of it,’ Wester said of her new role at ADJ. ‘I am looking forward to getting to know and working alongside the team and also taking on all of the challenges offered by this exciting and demanding role. It is a unique position, as it will allow me to work on trade shows for a number of different companies, operating in a variety of markets, but all part of the one group. This diversity in the role appeals to me, as does the opportunity to continue expanding my knowledge of the industry and its various facets.’
