dBTechnologies appoints Indian sales manager

Saikiran Shetty has been named as the new sales manager for India at dBTechnologies. He possesses more than 20 years of experience in the pro AV industry, covering the corporate and retail sectors, as well as channel sales. Shetty most recently served as national sales manager for touring audio at Harman India.

‘My role at dBTechnologies will be that of a catalyst in the Indian professional market,’ said Shetty. ‘This area is witnessing a steady growth and I will be onsite to improve the company’s agility and turnaround time in addressing the customers’ requirements.’

Shetty first met with the dBTechnologies team in Italy. ‘I immediately resonated with their value system, passion and commitment,’ he noted. ‘The partnership was natural. I look forward to making use of all my experience and being able to amplify our reach to the consumers.’

Based in Mumbai, Shetty will support dBTechnologies’ brand development in the local market with a focus on the company’s touring series: VIO, DVA, DVX and Ingenia. He will also work on behalf of dBTechnologies in cooperation with Indian distributor Rivera Digitec for the retail market.

‘The company’s market share in Asia has dramatically increased in the last two years, especially for the touring and installation segments,’ said Giovanni Barbieri, dBTechnologies sales and marketing director. ‘We are at a point where dBTechnologies is ready to make its mark in India. This is why we need focused sales professionals in the field, ready to successfully implement our strategy and take advantage of the market opportunities ahead. I’m more than certain that Mr Shetty will be the right person to usher in this new approach to the local professional market.’
