China:

Stage Arts Groups (SAG), a production and artist management company in Beijing, has invested in Meyer Sound’s LEO family system for several of its music festivals across China. This included the Music Technology and Art Festival (MTA), one of SAG’s most popular events. To get the best out of the festival, SAG arranged a system based on dual main hangings of 16 LEO-M line array loudspeakers, each included two underhung LYON-W loudspeakers and 12 Leopard loudspeakers supplying front-fill and 27 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements. All of these were arrayed into nine three-high stacks in cardioid configuration to deliver bass impact with little onstage intrusion.

‘Meyer Sound LEO Family systems are ideal for festivals like MTA,’ said SAG founder and board chief executive, Zhang Bo. ‘They have exceptionally low distortion even when reproducing very high levels. They also have a lot of headroom, making it easy for engineers to do their job beautifully.’

The LEO Family system has also been used at Rye Music Festival, with a similar setup to the one at MTA and included two outside hangs of 10 per side LYON line array loudspeakers and two delay towers, each with 12 Leopard line array loudspeakers.

The Meyer Sound LEO family was previously adopted for the Mango Music Festival and will also be used for the Dome International Music Festival in Qingdao and China Media Group’s Voice of China TOP Charts Ceremony later this year.
