James Whitebread has joined Masstech as its chief digital officer. Prior to his new appointment, Whitebread served as the chief technology officer at MarcoPolo Learning, supporting its expansion into China through the delivery of new products and services.

Whitebread’s experience spans product design and development for sports, media and entertainment organisations, as well as telecoms and security. His CV includes work for a diverse range of companies, such as IMG, BT, UEFA, Disney, Warner Bros., FIFA, Technicolor, Amazon Prime, TATA and Cardinal Heath Care.

It was when working as VP of product and technology at UI Centric where he led projects for UEFA, FIFA, AMC, PIX Systems and VUBIQUITY. Whitebread’s stint at Technicolor, where he was director of digital, saw him design and build the Showcase platform, which was used for service clients including Canal Plus, Entertainment One and Warner Bros.
