AVIXA publishes third edition of CTS Exam Guide

The Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) has directed the CTS programme for over 30 years. To help with this, AVIXA has released the third edition of the CTS Certified Technology Specialist Exam Guide. This provides the user with the exam objectives and contains topics such as conducting a site survey, developing an AV project scope, troubleshooting and repairing AV solutions. The chapters include checklists, diagrams, photos and review questions. The new edition also features several updates including designated sections of AVIXA's Display Image Size for 2D Content in Audiovisual Systems standard and Audio, Video and Control Architectural Drawing Symbols standard. The guide has also been streamlined.

‘In this third edition of the CTS Exam Guide, we've updated and extended the coverage of AV technologies and, at the same time, simplified the explanations of difficult technical concepts,’ said Andy Ciddor, author of the latest CTS Exam Guide. ‘In addition to featuring even more of AVIXA's ever-expanding suite of AV standards, the guide presents a more global approach to terminology and measurements.’

AVIXA’s vice president of learning, Amanda Beckner, added: ‘AVIXA is committed to the education of AV professionals. CTS accreditation certifies that an AV professional has the technical skills to perform at a high level. The new edition of the guide offers enhanced features to help prepare people to take their CTS exam and join an elite group of AV professionals.’
