Albeta goes to the beach
The Indigo Hotel in Bali has had commercial audio systems installed for BGM in all public areas, as well as audio and video solutions for its meeting rooms and beach club. These were all supplied and installed by Albeta.
The public BGM uses Biamp’s Audia audio processor with DAS CL-8T ceiling speakers powered by EV CPS8.5 and QSC CX108V amplifiers. The system was set up using the Audia software, which distributes multichannel BGM from a music server in the control room. With the use of both the hotel’s IT network and CobraNet, audio is sent to all of the public areas within the hotel.
In the meeting rooms, an Audia processor has been installed with a Biamp RED-1F controller. The setup also includes Electro-Voice EVID C8.2 speakers and EVID C10.1 subwoofers which are powered by PA2400T amplifiers. A Panasonic PT-VW530 projector and a Kramer VP728 video matrix are also installed in the meeting room with an AMX DVX-3256HD-SP processor.
For the beach club, the speaker system consists of four Electro-Voice ETX-15P and two ETX-18SP speakers, a Pioneer DDJ-SZ controller, an Allen & Heath GLD-80 console, an AR2412 rack and an Electro-Voice DC-One processor.
‘The challenge is distributing BGM audio through the hotel network along with other data, but this problem can be overcome by collaborating with the IT team from the hotel to create a virtual LAN so that audio data from CobraNet is not intervened by other data,’ said a spokesperson from Albeta. ‘So far, our clients are satisfied with the CobraNet protocol system from Biamp that we installed and the sound quality of the Electro-Voice and DAS speakers used.’
