Absen allays fears of stock shortages

Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, LED display manufacturer Absen has released a statement to confirm that it has more than 5,000m2 of LED in stock and ready for shipping, putting to rest unfounded fears that the company may experience stock shortages as a result of the Covid-19 virus that has spread throughout China, emanating from Wuhan. Absen continues to accept new orders globally.

The existing stock available comes from Absen’s European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as its manufacturing base in the Chinese city of Huizhou and other regions covered by its network of value-added distributors. It includes Polaris (PL), Aries (AX) and the recently launched Venus (VN) rental series, as well as the Acclaim (A27), Absenicon and N-Plus series for fixed installation.

Following its most successful financial year to date, Absen finds itself in a strong cashflow position and has therefore doubled its inventory of stock and raw materials to alleviate any short-term supply chain risks. The factory has reportedly been working at full capacity to meet high demand since before the outbreak, with orders in Europe, for example, up by 128% when compared to the same period last year. As a result, Absen notes that it is in the best possible position to deal with the current situation.

‘We would like to reassure our customers and the market that our company is in a very strong position,’ said Tania Zhao, managing director of Absen Europe. ‘We have a vast array of products in stock, which can be shipped directly, or collected from our European warehouse in Germany or our regional distribution partners. Our priority is to ensure our customers and our partners continue to have access to the latest LED products.’
