China:

With the emergency response level of the coronavirus outbreak moving from Level 2 to Level 3, InfoCommAsia has confirmed that Beijing InfoComm China will still be going ahead from 28–30 September 2020. The show was moved at the beginning at the year from its original March date to September. Despite the pandemic, strong participation of over 300 exhibitors, taking up the entire China National Convention Center venue, is expected.

“The overwhelming feedback from the majority of our exhibitors is that Beijing InfoComm China 2020 will provide the platform they need to build up their businesses, which may have been affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” commented Richard Tan, executive director of InfoCommAsia, organiser of Beijing InfoComm China. “It will also allow them to explore new opportunities in the exciting post-Covid era.

“As a responsible organiser, our first priority is to put in place all the necessary precautions to safeguard, to the best of our abilities, health, safety and well-being of all our exhibitors and visitors at the show.”

These include the need for visitors to pre-register and submit health declarations online before their arrival, a rigorous onsite screening process, mandated usage of masks at all times within the venue and the provision of hand sanitisers throughout the three-day event.

“We will do all that we can to ensure that Beijing InfoComm China 2020 is a safe and enjoyable experience for all our visitors, exhibitors and stakeholders, and, just like it has for the past 13 years, fulfil its role in bringing together all stakeholders in China’s AV market,” added Tan.

The China International Fair for Trade in Services has also announced that the event will take place in early September in Beijing.
