Indian tertiary institutions turn to Christie
Christie is reporting an increasing number of tertiary institutions are installing laser projection systems and LED video wall solutions to deliver educational programmes, increasing engagement and learning. This includes Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) in Madhya Pradesh, the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) in Maharashtra, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) in Gujarat and Nalanda University in Bihar.
All have installed Christie laser projection systems comprising the HS Series, GS Series, Captiva Series and APS Series laser projectors in lecture halls and classrooms, with IIT Indore additionally setting up four video walls made up of 144 Christie Core Series LED tiles with a pixel pitch of 1.8mm.
“As educational institutions align themselves to achieve India’s vision to become a world leader in science and technology that in turn ushers in greater economic growth, there has been a strong demand for display technologies to transform the learning environment,” said Rishubh Nayar, sales director for India, Enterprise, Christie.
Nayar noted that the IITs and IIMs have a good understanding of how display technologies can complement learning by simplifying the user experience and enhancing engagement with students. “That’s why laser projection and direct-view LED technologies are the preferred choice due to their excellent image quality and colour reproduction, ease of use, installation flexibility, low maintenance, and affordability,” he continued. “They are perfect for high-usage environments such as education.”
All equipment is maintained by a team of technicians at Christie’s aftersales service and repair centre for projectors and LED tiles at its Bangalore office.
